Hong Kong has seen over one million outbound travelers since the handover holidays kick-started on Saturday as many citizens utilized their three days to travel up north or overseas.
Among them, over 800,000 traveled to the mainland.
According to data released by the Immigration Department, over 483,000 departures were recorded on Sunday alone, including around 377,000 up north.
Some 113,719 people traveled via the Lo Wu port and 109,008 via the Lok Ma Chau port.
The Shenzhen Bay port also saw around 60,290 outbound travelers, followed by the HK-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge at around 55,480.
On Saturday, around 554,000 outbound travelers were also recorded, including some 419,000 to the mainland.
Combining Saturday and Sunday, the number of outbound visitors was about 1.03 million.
