BMW plows onto pedestrian walkway in Yau Ma Tei

A driver abandoned their car and fled after smashing into the railings and mounting the pedestrian walkway early Friday morning.

At about 3 a.m. today a BMW sedan was driving along Nathan Road towards Cheung Sha Wan.

When it was about to turn right onto Gascoigne Road, it suddenly lost control and crashed into the roadside railings and mounted the sidewalk before coming to a stop.

The driver abandoned the car and fled the scene.

The left side of the BMW was slightly damaged, and the airbag had been deployed.

The police are investigating the incident and tracing the whereabouts of the driver.
