The 20-minute drone performance will take place at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade at 7.30 pm that night, with the drones forming patterns that resemble characters from the much-loved Japanese cartoon, as well as a number of Doraemon gadgets such as the Anywhere Door and the Take-copter.
The organizer believes the show, having been authorized by the copyright owner, could attract waves of Doraemon fans.
