Collision leaves biker injured on Lung Cheung Road

Traffic at Lung Cheung Road is temporarily affected after a sedan collided with a motorcycle due to the slippery roads on Friday morning, leaving a biker injured.

The accident occurred at 7.21 am today at the exit of the Lion Rock Tunnel on Lung Cheung Road towards Kwun Tong where the roads have become slippery due to the heavy rain.

The biker sustained injuries to his hands and feet and rescue workers sent him to hospital for treatment.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident.

The Transport Department announced that due to a traffic accident, the only lane leading from Lion Rock Tunnel Road to Lung Cheung Road in the direction Kwun Tong remains closed.

Motorists are asked to consider using other roads. Members of the public are also notified that KMB services will be affected.

People traveling from Sha Tin to Kowloon and other areas were advised to consider using other public transport services, such as the MTR.
