The event today commenced at 12 p.m. in the Parade Ring with an opening performance by COLLAR, whose performance preceded a 10-race fixture headlined by the HK$4.2 million G3 Chinese Club Challenge Cup Handicap (1400m).
Rock band Nowhere Boys also performed in the public betting hall throughout the day, where the “Where Good Luck Starts” racecourse trivia game was stationed, with prizes being given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
In order to praise the outstanding performances of Lucky Sweynesse, Golden Sixty, and Romantic Warrior at the recent HK$118 million LONGINES Hong Kong International Races, the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Chief Executive Officer, Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, also presented commemorative saddlecloths to the winners and their team at 12.20 p.m. in the Parade Ring.
As for the headline race of today's racecard, the G3 Chinese Club Challenge Cup Handicap (1400m), it was won by the Pierre Ng-trained 5-year-old Taj Dragon, with Andrea Atzeni in the saddle, who claimed first place, defeating Healthy Happy and Beauty Joy, who finished in second and third place, respectively.
