Sing Tao wins Community Chest Award for Outstanding Service

Sing Tao News Corporation was recently recognized "The Community Chest Award for Outstanding Service" remarking on its community and charitable contributions in the past year.

Chief Executive Officer of Sing Tao News Corp, Cai Jin, attended the annual awards ceremony and received the certificate from the president of the Chest Janet Lee Lam Lai-sim.

During the fifth wave of COVID-19, Sing Tao distributed "The Standard" and "Headline Daily" to the quarantined patients in the mobile cabin hospitals to keep them informed on current affairs. In addition, the "Headline Daily" also reports the cases from the "Community Chest Rainbow Fund" on a regular basis to raise the community's awareness of those in need and encourage more people to support social welfare services. 

Sing Tao is devoted to charities and carries out its social responsibilities by establishing the Sing Tao Charitable Foundation to provide financial assistance to those needy. 

It also set up "Sing Tao Charitable Foundation Students' Loan Fund," "Sing Tao Charitable Foundation Scholarships," and "The Standard / Sing Tao "Fat Choy" Drive Medical Students Loan Fund" to provide young people in need with opportunities to formal education through loans and scholarships.

The "Sing Tao Volunteer Team" also encourages staff to participate actively in community and charity events.
