Authorities have locked down six blocks in Sha Tin, Kwai Chung, Kwun Tong, and Yuen Long from Sunday afternoon to flush out silent carriers, after sewage samples from the public housing buildings tested positive for Covid-19.

Residents at Man Wo House and Yan Wo House of Wo Che Estate in Sha Tin have to undergo compulsory tests by 10 pm on Sunday. Authorities aim to lift the lockdown by 2pm on Monday.
Those at Shek Sau House of Shek Lei (I) Estate in Kwai Chung must get tested by 8.30pm, as authorities target to complete the operation by Monday noon.
Tenants at Heng Chui House and Heng Chun House of Tin Heng Estate in Yuen Long must get tested by 10.30 pm, as authorities target to unseal the block at 1 pm on Monday.
At the same time, Sau Fu House residents at Sau Mau Ping Estate in Kwun Tong must get tested by 10pm, as authorities target to unseal the block at 1pm on Monday.
According to the compulsory testing notice, any person who had been present at the above buildings for more than two hours from February 14 to 27 must undergo compulsory testing by March 1.
In addition, nearly 600 preliminary positive cases were detected at three lockdowns in Sha Tin, Cheung Sha Wan and Kwai Chung which ended on Sunday afternoon.
At Foo Wai House of Sun Tin Wai Estate in Sha Tin, some 1,200 residents had undergone testing, among whom 202 tested preliminary positive and seven tested indeterminate.
Those who tested negative were allowed to leave the building starting 3pm Sunday. The government also sent staffers to visit around 530 households door-to-door, of which 45 didn't answer.
The government finished the testing exercise at Chun Lai House and Chun Yin House of Hang Chun Court in Cheung Sha Wan at around 3.45pm. Around 1,980 residents had undergone testing, among which 269 cases tested preliminary positive. The government also sent staffers to visit around 740 households door-to-door, of which 38 didn't answer.
At around 4 pm, the lockdown at High Block and Low Block of Shek Chun House, Shek Lei (I) Estate, Kwai Chung was lifted after about 1,730 residents got tested. Among them, 208 tested preliminary positive.
