Hong Kong's retail sales by value fell by 2.3 percent in April from a year earlier, marking a 14th consecutive month of declines, government data showed on Monday.

Sales declined to HK$28.9 billion, with the percentage change narrowing from a 3.5 percent fall in March.
In volume terms, April retail sales fell 3.3 percent from a year earlier, compared with a revised 4.7 percent decline in March.
