Taiwanese-American singer Wang Leehom has been threatened with legal action after his ex accused him of hiring prostitutes and having sex partners in a 5,000-word letter on Friday. He did not respond, while Wang's father hit back.
She also criticized her ex-husband after he asked her to retract a demand for a luxurious condo.
The couple announced the end of their eight-year marriage on Wednesday, and Lee posted a 5,000-word letter on her Instagram account on Friday, slamming Wang for messy affairs and having sex partners in various cities.
She claimed one sex partner took explicit photos with him and that at least one was a married woman.Wang's father put out a statement, accusing Lee of having planned the letter for two years.
"My son is not a scumbag," he said. The father said Lee threatened to "destroy his career" if he did not marry her when she was pregnant and that the singer had been unhappy throughout the marriage.
Lee asked for divorce compensation totaling hundreds of million Taiwanese dollars. She also wanted a house and her living expenses paid for - including two nannies, one domestic helper and a driver, the father added. In response, Lee said Wang did not use any protection and that "if [he] was unhappy for seven years, how would we have the second and third children?"
Companies which Wang advertised for have cut ties with him, including luxury car maker Infiniti which just confirmed its cooperation with Wang two days before.
