China’s Chi Forest explores potential Hong Kong IPO, Bloomberg reports

China's low-calorie sparkling water and tea drinks maker Chi Forest is exploring a potential initial public offering in Hong Kong, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The Beijing-based company has held preliminary discussions with potential advisers about a share sale, the people said, adding that talks are still at an early stage and the size and timing of any IPO have yet to be decided, according to the report.

A representative for Chi Forest said the company currently has no plans to pursue an IPO.

Founded in 2016, Chi Forest, formerly known as Genki Forest, produces sugar-free flavoured sparkling water, energy drinks and tea beverages. In addition to China, its products are sold in markets including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, Japan and Australia.
