Hong Kong conglomerate CK Hutchison (0001) said it has not yet made any decision on any separate listing of its telecommunication or retail assets and businesses.
The company said in a filing yesterday that it has noted recent media reports on possible spin-offs or separate listings of its businesses, as well as possible transactions relating to its telecommunication assets in certain European countries.
From time to time, the group receives proposals and explores and evaluates opportunities that may be available, with a view to enhancing long term value for shareholders, including possible transactions relating to certain assets and businesses among which is separate listing of its businesses, the filing said.
However, there is no certainty that any such transactions will or will not take place, CKH said.
Reuters earlier reported that the company is weighing listing its global telecommunications business in London and Hong Kong as early as the third quarter.
