Two individuals, a tenant and her domestic helper, were hospitalized following a fire that erupted in To Kwa Wan on Sunday morning, believed to be caused by a short-circuited charger.

The fire was reported at 9.18am in a unit located on Ma Tau Wai Road within a tenement building.
Firefighters responded swiftly, arriving at the scene equipped with a water jet and deployed a breathing apparatus team. They successfully extinguished the fire by 9.32am.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the fire department indicate that the blaze was likely caused by a short-circuited battery charger.
During the incident, both the female tenant and her domestic helper experienced smoke inhalation and received treatment in an ambulance on-site.
The area has been cordoned off by the police, who are conducting further investigations to ascertain the full details of the incident.
