Winning the Special Award for Small Enterprises and Start-ups offered by the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) Quality Award, is a notable achievement for any company, and for A&S Enterprises Limited, it signifies much more than just a trophy. “We are delighted and honored to have our company’s efforts recognized with such a prestigious award,” Siu remarks. She considers the award as a clear validation of their commitment to quality management principles, marking their progress on the right track.
This is their first time entering the award scheme, and the decision to participate stemmed from a core mission: to gain recognition for their work. The rigorous entry requirements, while challenging, prompted the team to reflect critically on their strengths and areas for improvement. “It encouraged us to evaluate our practices and reinforce our commitment to excellence,” she notes.
A collaborative effort
Preparing for the award involved significant dedication and teamwork. The entry process spanned over two months and required extensive documentation and hosting a site visit by the adjudicators. The company mobilized a cross-functional team of staff members to compile data and demonstrate their operations. Siu hails the experience as a valuable opportunity for the company to unite and highlight their collective strengths.
“Our success is built on a strong company culture and values where integrity and people are our top priorities,” she explains. This foundation enabled them to navigate the complexities of the evaluation process and emerge victorious.
