Tsuen Wan police officers handed out 937 fixed penalty notices, nine court summonses, and towed four vehicles during a two-day operation targeting traffic offenses on Wednesday and Thursday.
Over the past two days (Apr 17–18), officers from the Tsuen Wan police district carried out law enforcement operations to combat taxi violations and traffic crimes related to illegal parking to ensure smooth roads and improve road users' awareness of road safety along with their law-abiding awareness.
During the operation, officers issued a total of 937 fixed penalty notices, nine court summonses and towed four vehicles causing serious obstruction.
The police spokesman stressed that, in addition to affecting other road users, illegal parking may also cause traffic accidents and endanger the safety of pedestrians and road users.
In addition to issuing multiple tickets and prosecuting the drivers, the police may also tow the vehicle.
The police appeal to motorists not to park their vehicles illegally for temporary convenience.
