Hong Kong women's fencer Kaylin Hsieh Sin-yan won a gold medal in the Chengdu FISU World University Games on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old snatched the gold in the Women's Épée Individual final by defeating Italy's Sara Maria Kowalczyk and won the game at 15:6.
It is the first World University Games gold medal for the Hong Kong fencing team and the city's second gold at this Games.
As of Wednesday, the Hong Kong delegation has won two golds, one silver, and three bronze medals at the Games.
