Deng Junjie, co-chairman of Asia Television Holdings Ltd was ordered a two-year bind over for HK$2,000 after he engaged in a fight with a man over debt recovery in June.
Deng, 50, was charged with one count of criminal damage and one count of common assault.
He was arrested on June 2 outside the ATV studio on Tai Shing Street in Tai Po after he punched a man in the face and damaged the banner on the man's van, who wished to collect debt from Deng.
He appeared in Fanling Magistrates' Court today. The prosecution agreed to lay the charge offering no evidence.
The court then ordered him two-year bind over for HK$2,000. During the period he cannot commit other offenses related to violence or property damage.
