Chan Ka-chun testified at the Coroner's Court as the inquest into the death of 15-year-old Chan entered the sixth day, today.
He claimed he saw Chan Yin-lam on September 19 last year at the MTR station around 7:20pm, after he attended a lecture at the institute.
He told Coroner Ko Wai-hung that Chan Yin-lam was wandering without shoes inside the station looking around, and appeared to be searching for someone.
“She looked sane at that time, but seems to be absent-minded searching for someone,” Chan said. “She eventually went out of sight towards exit B.”
Chan also said he did not plan to appear in court as a witness, but he found the case suspicious and distrusted the police investigation. So, gave his statement to the court to supplement what was not being told in last week’s inquest.
The naked body of Chan Yin-lam was found floating not far from the Hong Kong Design Institute in Tiu Keng Leng, where she studied, last September.
