Global light-vehicle sales predicted to drop by 20pc

S&P Global Ratings forecasts that global light-vehicle sales would drop by 20 percent from a year ago, as selling and productions were halted amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Light car sales have declined by 25 percent from a year ago during the first half this year, said the credit rating agency, expecting sales would recover to between 7 percent and 9 percent in the next two years.
