The APGs are currently operating at seven stations along the East Rail Line, with installation work ongoing at Fo Tan, Tai Wo, and Kowloon Tong stations.
Lo Wu, University and Mong Kok East stations with wider curvatures are the final batch of stations to undergo this project on the East Rail Line, expected to be completed in 2025.
To minimize disruption to daily train services, APGs will be installed during the non-traffic hours overnight as well as the non-peak hours throughout the day.
Platform assistants will be assigned to provide support during the installation, and the railway giant has reminded passengers not to stand near the platform edge or trespass on the rail tracks.
