To celebrate the Hong Kong Arts Development Council's 30th anniversary, the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong will hold a grand opening concert under the baton of Francis Kan Pak-kin.
The City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, currently receiving support from the HKADC's "Eminent Arts Group Scheme," will collaborate with acclaimed local artist Ivana Wong Yuen-chi and world-renowned harmonica virtuoso Gordon Lee for an evening of exceptional musical performances on Thursday (Jun 5) at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall.
The concert repertoire will feature Sibelius' celebratory Andante Festivo, Spivakovsky's remarkable Concerto for Harmonica, and the exquisitely romantic Twilight, Idyll by Fibich.
Additionally, the event will feature a reinterpretation of Wong's orchestral composition -- The Missing Something -- accompanied by light installations and video presentations, commemorating the grand opening of the Council's anniversary gala festival.
