US radar in Qatar destroyed in Iranian counterattack on American and Israeli targets

Iran fired missiles and drones at the US Fifth Fleet HQ in Bahrain, bases in Qatar and the UAE, and Israeli military sites in response to US-Israeli attacks, destroying a key US ballistic missile-tracking radar in Qatar.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the counterstrikes. The son of President Masoud Pezeshkian stated his father and several officials survived an unsuccessful assassination attempt, describing the conflict as a prolonged war of attrition requiring persistence and patience.

Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged UN action against the US and Israel, accused them of violating the UN Charter, and vowed full use of armed forces to inflict heavy costs.

CCTV News reported an Israeli missile hit a primary school in Hormozgan Province, killing over 50 people and injuring dozens more.
