A taxi driver narrowly missed hitting a boy at a zebra crossing in Tuen Mun on Thursday evening after failing to slow down, with online footage sparking accusations of dangerous driving.

The incident occurred around 7.01pm at Butterfly Estate. Dashcam footage shows the taxi approaching the zebra crossing without slowing down, just as a boy ran out from the right side. The driver braked hard to avoid a collision. A woman's voice can be heard shouting: "Wow! Crazy!"

The poster commented: "That kid should thank his lucky stars – one second between him and death." Other netizens criticized the driver's behavior, with comments including: "Not reporting this would be letting down all of Hong Kong," "This is premeditated murder," and "There will be a victim sooner or later."
