Man shows patience with Lucky Sweynesse

Trainer Manfred Man Ka-leung says Lucky Sweynese won't be rushed back to the races and will have one more barrier trial before he decides whether or not to start him in the G1 Centenary Sprint Cup (1200 meters) on January 19.

The four-time Group 1 winner has not raced for more than nine months after surgery on his left front fetlock and Man may wait until the G2 Sprint Cup on March 30 if he isn't satisfied with his next trial.

"He has only had one trial and after such a long break I think he needs at least two trials, but maybe three," Man said.
