New lines in Year of the Dragon stamps

Special stamps for Lunar New Year go on sale on January 5 with associated philatelic products based on the Dragon.

A set of four stamps and two stamp sheetlets feature vivid depictions of the mythical creature that symbolizes prestige and power.

A HK$50 stamp sheetlet is a laser-cut paper art stamp issued by Hongkong Post for a first time - a process that creates a delicate dragon silhouette.

A sheetlet of Lunar New Year animals features the rabbit and dragon with silver foil and gold plating on a purple background decorated with lotus flowers.

In addition, joint souvenir packs for the Year of the Dragon will be issued by China Post, Hongkong Post and Macau Post and Telecommunications on the same day, demonstrating the three places share the same roots and cultural lineage by containing diversified expressions of the dragon culture.

Hand-back date-stamping services will also be available on January 5 at all post offices.
