It's showtime for HK Palace Museum

The Hong Kong Palace Museum launched the HKPM Showtime Carnival to present a series of themed programs throughout the year, featuring performances, demonstrations, workshops and talks in collaboration with top performing arts organizations and artists.

Visitors can experience the event from unique perspectives, exploring Chinese art, history and culture.

The Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble presented the opening with a performance of Gazing, Listening: The Sounds from Cultural Relics.

The ensemble celebrated the beauty of the Museum's artifacts and brought them to life. The show also featured the premiere of With Dragons, a composition for eight instruments inspired by the Sanxingdui culture.

The ensemble offered the Ancient Dunhuang Musical Instrument Family Workshop, introducing musical instruments, colors and patterns found in the famous Dunhuang cave murals in Gansu Province.

Sponsor the Bank of China (Hong Kong) will donate 20,000 tickets to charity.
