Wheelock toasts Wong's emerald year

Ricky Wong Kwong-yiu, managing director of Wheelock Properties, celebrated the 35th anniversary of his entry in Wheelock and Company yesterday.

Wong joined Wharf in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin in the United States with a master's degree in business administration. He was appointed as a director of Wheelock and Company in 2010. As the current managing director of Wheelock Properties, Wong is responsible for overseeing the property development and related business of Wheelock and Wharf.

At the celebration party, Wong said he believes a good team and cooperative colleagues are important factors to achieve the One Team One Goal spirit and, in turn, an ideal outcome.

Wong also serves as a vice chairman of the Real Estate and Infrastructure Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and one of the largest business organizations in Hong Kong.

Wheelock holds three principal companies: the Wharf, Wharf Real Estate Investment Company and Wheelock Properties.
