Body of missing woman found in manhole in Yuen Long

The body of a 64-year-old woman was found in a manhole on Tai Tong Shan Road in Yuen Long on Tuesday afternoon, during a police investigation into a missing person case.

The woman, surnamed Yeung, was last seen at her residence on Kiu Hing Road on August 7. A social worker reported her missing on August 14.

Police discovered the body around 5.48pm and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death is pending a post-mortem examination.
