A 75-year-old man died on Tuesday, five days after being struck by a private minibus in To Kwa Wan.
The accident occurred on August 13 at the junction of Lok Shan Road and Maidstone Road. The minibus, bearing markings of the Christian Family Service Centre, hit the elderly pedestrian, surnamed Wong, as he was crossing the road.
Wong suffered head injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital unconscious. He was pronounced dead at 2.55pm on Tuesday.
The 52-year-old minibus driver, also surnamed Wong, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm.
