Regional stability and growth in focus as John Lee joins Boao Forum

Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu has arrived in Haikou, Hainan, to participate in the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026, which is marking its 25th anniversary this year.

Lee highlighted the significance of the Forum’s anniversary in a social media post, noting that global tensions—including unrest in the Middle East, the rise of unilateralism, and escalating geopolitical conflicts—underscore the heightened importance of this year’s event.

He called for unity and cooperation among Asian countries and regions to tackle these challenges, promote economic growth, and develop peaceful, mutually beneficial solutions for both Asia and the wider world.

During the conference, Lee is scheduled to attend the opening plenary and deliver a keynote address at the Global Free Trade Port Development Forum.
