Princess Margaret Hospital announced on Thursday that a 53-year-old male patient was arrested for suspected indecent assault of two staff members.
The incidents occurred on the morning of February 22 on a medicine and geriatrics ward while the staff members were attending to the patient.
After receiving reports, the hospital immediately notified the police. Officers arrested the man on the ward on Tuesday.
The hospital expressed deep concern over the incidents and strongly condemned the alleged indecent acts against its staff.
It maintains a zero-tolerance stance toward such behaviour, will follow up seriously, and is fully cooperating with the police investigation.
The hospital has offered sympathy and support to the affected staff members.
The incidents have been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office through the Advance Incident Reporting System.
