Police are searching for a driver who fled a vehicle stop, injuring two officers in Tsim Sha Tsui on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred around 11:30pm when traffic police on patrol along Nathan Road near Hillwood Road stopped a suspicious private car. The 28-year-old male driver, surnamed Lau, refused to get out and show his identity documents before suddenly driving off toward Nathan Road.
Two officers were knocked to the ground during the incident, sustaining injuries to the neck and foot. Both were conscious and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
Police have classified the case as dangerous driving, assaulting police and resisting arrest. The driver and the vehicle are still at large.
