A motorcyclist has died after losing control and crashing on a slip road in Yau Ma Tei early Wednesday morning.
The non-ethnic Chinese rider was traveling along the slip road toward the Western Harbour Crossing on Lin Cheung Road when the motorcycle reportedly skidded during light rain, colliding with roadside barriers before sliding approximately 15 meters.
Police received reports around 2am from passersby who found the unconscious rider near the Civil Aid Service headquarters. The man was transported to Kwong Wah Hospital but was pronounced dead at 2:41am.
The Honda motorcycle remained on the roadside shoulder with visible blood stains and personal belongings including a watch head scattered nearby. Police are investigating the cause of the accident on the slip road connecting to the cross-harbor tunnel.
