6 firefighters die as vehicle plunges off cliff in Hunan

Six firefighters have died and one was injured after their vehicle fell off a cliff in Xinhua county, Hunan province, according to Xinhua News Agency.

The incident occurred at around 4pm on Thursday in Luguan town. The firefighters were returning from a firefighting and rescue mission when their vehicle accidentally plunged off the cliff.

The injured firefighter is receiving medical treatment. An investigation into the cause of the accident and follow-up arrangements are underway.
