Hong Kong police are investigating an assault that left a 17-year-old teenager injured in Jordan early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around midnight at the football pitch in King George V Memorial Park. Police were alerted by a passerby who discovered the injured non-Chinese male youth.
Initial investigations indicate the victim was involved in a dispute with a non-Chinese man, believed to be an acquaintance, over a trivial matter. During the altercation, the suspect allegedly attacked the teenager with his hands before fleeing the scene.
The 17-year-old victim sustained injuries to his head and hand. He remained conscious and was transported to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment.
Police have classified the case as "Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm" (AOABH). The investigation is being handled by the Yau Tsim Police District.
No arrests have been made so far.
Authorities are currently searching for the suspect, described as a non-Chinese male, approximately 20 years old, and about 1.65 meters tall.
