Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office Xia Baolong will conclude his five-day inspection tour in Hong Kong on Sunday afternoon.
Xia arrived at the Central Government Offices around 9 am to meet with District Council members.
It is understood that he hosted a seminar with the chairmen of all 18 District Councils of the city, along with representatives from the District Council Members and the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau.
Additionally, he conducted a visit to the Community Living Room in To Kwa Wan, during which he was accompanied by Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs Alice Mak Mei-kuen and Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun Yuk-han.
During his five-day visit, Xia met with government officials and various sectors to gain insights into the city's latest developments.
He also attended a high-profile forum on Saturday (Jun 21) to mark the fifth anniversary of the Hong Kong National Security Law, where he characterized the law as Hong Kong's' guardian angel,' safeguarding the city's prosperity and residents' well-being.
Additionally, he reassured Hong Kong's continued economic vitality, citing recent American Chamber of Commerce research showing strong confidence among international businesses.
