Lawmaker Jesse Shang apologizes for misusing office address

Legislative Council member Jesse Shang Hailong has issued a public apology after improperly registering the Hong Kong Top Talent Services Association (HKTTSA) at his government office in Admiralty's CITIC Tower.

In a statement, the lawmaker admitted that he used his office address for the association's registration during its establishment phase, explaining that this was done solely for initial convenience in communication and preparation. He noted that the association later hired a secretarial firm to handle operations, including an address change.

The oversight came to light during last year's office relocation when staff discovered that the registered address had never been updated with the Companies Registry due to an administrative lapse during employee transition.

Shang acknowledged his failure to maintain proper boundaries between legislative duties and private organizational work, expressing deep regret for any public misunderstanding or concern caused by this incident. He pledged stricter adherence to regulations.
