Former Physical Fitness Mong Kok branch reopens as perFIT today

A former store branch of the now-defunct Physical Fitness reopens in Mong Kok on Thursday, with customers heading to the branch to confirm the reopening.

After the gym chain Physical Fitness announced its temporary closure last month, the Wan Chai and Mong Kok branches changed hands. The medical beauty group "perFACE" took over some services and changed its name to "perFIT".

Today, the Mong Kok branch officially opened, with the original Physical Fitness sign and directory removed and replaced with the perFIT sign.

perFIT stated that the Mong Kok branch will be open from 10 am to 8 pm today, and all members can temporarily use the old Physical Fitness membership card to enter. As for member information, a data transfer consent form will be prepared later and will wait for members to sign before accessing their information.

In addition, perFIT mentioned that starting tomorrow (Oct 11), the business hours of Wan Chai and Mong Kok branches will change to 7 am to 11 pm.

A former Physical Fitness member pointed out that she learned of the reopening of the Mong Kok branch through a friend but has not yet received any notification from Physical Fitness or perFIT.

Therefore, she went to the venue to find out in person, and she expects that she may need to pay extra to use the services of the Mong Kok branch, depending on the arrangement by perFIT.

Another former customer stated that over the past 30 years they had always used the services of the Mong Kok branch since other fitness centers rarely provided services such as beauty treatments or saunas, and thus had never really switched to other fitness centers.

They were happy that another investor took over the branches since it can become a gathering area for friends again.
