Around 20 of TeamLab's giant "luminous eggs" on display at Tamar Park were affected by strong winds and have to be deflated due to safety concerns.
On Monday, some eggs were deflated and surrounded by traffic cones at the lawn.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department said the weather has been unstable since last week, and the exhibition venue was also affected by gusts and strong winds.
LCSD said some eggs were deflated over safety concerns and would be inflated according to the weather conditions.
A citizen surnamed Wong said taking down four or five eggs at a time is acceptable. However, if too many eggs are deflated, it might affect tourists' perceptions of the exhibition.
A tourist who planned to stay in Hong Kong for a week said seeing the eggs move around with the winds was also artistic. He suggested that the exhibition organizers keep a close eye on the eggs and promptly repair any damages.
