Woman fights off robbers in Mong Kok with bare hands

A woman in her 40s bravely fought off two robbers who beat and attempted to rob her of her luxury bag in Mong Kok on Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at around 6 am this morning when the woman walked past a back alley near the intersection of Kam Lam Street and Soy Street.

The two robbers in their 30s were said to have jumped the woman and tried to grab her luxury bag, which contained HK$50,000 in cash.

The woman fought back and the duo eventually fled the scene after the botched robbery attempt.

The woman suffered injuries to her face and her back and was brought to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment.

Police were canvassing the area for two Chinese males aged around 30 years old.
