A truck caught fire when traveling towards Kowloon in the Western Harbor Crossing around 4 pm on Wednesday. Firefighters later came to extinguish the fire, and no casualties were reported.

According to photos circulated online, items loaded on the roofless truck caught fire and were burning fiercely. The driver exited the truck and filed a police report as a tunnel staffer came and tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher.
The fire also cast heavy smoke inside the tunnel tube.
The driver later drove the truck out of the tunnel after firefighters came to put out the fire.
No casualties were reported, and firefighters are now investigating the cause of the incident.
The tunnel tube slow lane of Western Harbor Crossing (Kowloon bound) has reopened to all traffic as of 5.30 pm, while the traffic queue will take time to disperse, the Transport Department said.
