Restaurants crowded as families head out to celebrate Father's Day

Many families headed out Sunday to celebrate Father's Day, with even the amber rainstorm warning not affecting the mood of their celebration.

Yam, one of the fathers who often went to the Chinese restaurant with friends, came along today with his wife and daughter. They planned to visit Cheung Chau or Lantau Island after the yum cha gathering.

In a Chinese restaurant in Mong Kok, a family of three generations was seen celebrating altogether as it was the first-ever Father's Day after the end of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A manager at the London Chinese Restaurant, surnamed So, said the business had already recovered to the pre-pandemic level, as people did not have to care about the seating limitations measures.

However, he worries that the rainy weather will negatively affect the evening business of today.
