The police said today 11 males and two females were arrested for illegal use of electric mobility devices between Friday and Monday in different districts.

Their offenses included driving an unlicensed vehicle, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and driving without a valid license.
Eight electric scooters, two electric bicycles, two electric tricycles and an electric unicycle were seized.
The force reiterated that electric mobility devices should not be used on roads with ordinary vehicles and are not suitable for use on pavements or cycling tracks.
