TVB's "The Queen of News 2" swept nine awards at the 2025 TVB Anniversary Awards in Macau on Sunday, including best drama, best actor for Bosco Wong and best actress for Charmaine Sheh.
The ceremony, held at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort's showroom, also saw a special tribute to outgoing TVB general manager Eric Tsang, who received the honorary Legendary Achievement Award presented by friend Alan Tam.
Wong, who also won the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao favorite best actor award earlier, became a double winner. He tearfully thanked TVB chairman Thomas Hui for investing in dramas during difficult times and mentors like Michael Miu and Wayne Lai.
Sheh claimed her fourth best actress title at the awards, a record, adding to her earlier Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao and North America favorite actress wins. She said she had merged with her character Man Je.
Matthew Ho won best supporting actor for the drama. The show also won best supporting actress for Venus Wong, who thanked father-in-law Eric Tsang.
The ceremony included a tribute to late industry figures, moving many including Sheh. Bob Lam won best male host and Stephanie Che won best female host.
Most Improved Female Artist went to Sophie Yip, who thanked boyfriend GM Tsang and his mother for soup. Most Improved Male Artist was James Ng, who thanked TVB and his Japanese wife Aiko Hamaguchi.
Best variety show went to "Midlife Singing Competition 3" and best information program to "Scoop."
Best male newcomers were Liu Yang and Mason Fung, best female newcomer was Carmen Ngai.
