Actress Sisley Choi Sea-pui announced on Thursday night (Mar 12) that she had left TVB, bringing her 13-year career with the broadcaster to an end.
The 35-year-old shared the news on Instagram, posting several photos along with a message in both Chinese and English reflecting on her time at the station.
“Thirteen years of journey, now completed,” Choi wrote. “Leaving the greenhouse, the tree is officially transplanted into the wild. To old friends and new acquaintances, please continue to guide me.”
She thanked the broadcaster and colleagues for their support over the years, saying both the “joy and hardship” she experienced at TVB had become valuable nourishment for her growth.
Choi added that her relationship with the company would continue and that she would be open to future collaborations.
“This bond will carry on. If suitable opportunities arise in the future, I will always be ready when called,” she said.
The actress also expressed gratitude to several mentors and colleagues who had supported her throughout her career, including senior executives and production staff.
Choi joined TVB after finishing second runner-up in the 2013 Miss Hong Kong Pageant. She later rose to prominence with her role as “Chiu Ching-mui” in the legal drama Legal Mavericks series, earning “Most Popular Female TV Character” in 2017 and later “Best Actress” at the TVB Anniversary Awards in 2020.
However, since the broadcast of the aviation drama Airport Diary in 2024, Choi has not appeared in any new TVB productions. Her name was recently removed from the company’s official website, sparking speculation about her departure.
Choi is expected to make her first public appearance after the announcement at the charity event Pok Oi Cycle for Millions 2026 this Sunday.
