Xiaomi (1810) founder, chief executive and chairman Lei Jun has personally invested over HK$100 million to acquire 2.6 million Class B ordinary shares of Xiaomi Group at an average price of approximately HK$38.58 per share, increasing his ownership stake, the Group announced Monday.

After the increase in shareholdings, Lei is interested in 4.06 Class A ordinary shares and 1.99 billion Class B ordinary shares, representing approximately 23.26 percent of the total issued shares.
The board believes that Lei’s increase in shareholdings demonstrates his strong confidence towards the prospects and growth potential of the company, as well as his long-term commitment.
