WestK Christmas Town officially opened on Friday, transforming the West Kowloon Cultural District into a festive landscape of lights, music and seasonal warmth that will run until January 11, 2026.
Anchored by a Christmas forest, a pet-friendly holiday market and a rich tapestry of arts and culture-related events and performances, the citywide celebration aims to bring moments of togetherness and blessing to the community across different corners of WestK.
At the heart of the festivities is the WestK Christmas Forest, set against the west harbourside lawn of the Art Park. More than 60 Christmas trees surround a 12-metre-tall centerpiece, creating a striking festive focus along the harbor.
The forest is complemented by a charming treehouse and a delightful carousel installation, offering a whimsical setting for families and visitors.

On designated days, the area will host meet-and-greet sessions with Santa Claus alongside snowfall performances, adding a touch of winter magic rarely seen in the city.
The Christmas Forest will be open daily from now until January 1, from 2pm to 11pm, with extended hours starting at noon on Fridays to Sundays. Special arrangements are in place from December 24 to 26, when the forest will open from noon until 1am the following day, coinciding with dedicated Santa appearances and snowfall shows to mark the peak of the holiday season.
A short stroll away, the WestK Christmas Lane brings a lively market atmosphere to the east harbourside lawn.
Designed as a pet-friendly space, the festive lane brings together around 30 local and international food and retail stalls, offering seasonal treats, gifts and specialty items.
The market also features Christmas-themed handicraft workshops and more than 100 free arts performances, reinforcing WestK’s role as a cultural gathering point rather than simply a shopping destination.

The Christmas market will run from now until December 14, and again from December 19 to 31, opening daily from 2pm to 9pm. On December 24 to 26 and December 31, trading hours will be extended until 11pm, allowing visitors to linger by the harbor and enjoy the festive atmosphere late into the evening.
Through its blend of visual spectacle, cultural programming and open, family-friendly spaces, WestK Christmas Town seeks to offer more than seasonal decoration.
By weaving art, performance and community participation into the holiday experience, the event invites the public to slow down, reconnect and share moments of warmth along Hong Kong’s waterfront during the festive season.
