An international group exhibition exploring art and technology will open in Sheung Wan this month.
“Symbiosis 3.0: Artificial Flavor” will run from March 20 to 30 at 101080 HHH on Hollywood Road, with free admission. An opening reception will be held on March 19 from 7pm to 9pm.
The exhibition focuses on the interaction between humans and artificial systems, including algorithms, synthetic materials, and urban designs. It highlights the merging of natural and artificial elements, producing hybrid forms that blur traditional boundaries. Featured artists include Debbie Ding from Singapore, Tsang Ka Wai Eason and Liao Jiaming from Hong Kong, as well as participants from Saudi Arabia and the Czech Republic.
The exhibition is curated by Richard Bakes and Shan Wong of Flyingpig, and organized by the Consulate General of Czechia in Hong Kong, with support from Berlinskej Model Gallery and Studio TIO.
During Basel week, organizers co-hosted the exhibition with panel talks to reinforce its core theme of human-artificial interaction.
The show forms part of ongoing efforts to foster cross-cultural dialogue in Hong Kong’s contemporary art scene, particularly in new media and experimental practices.
