HKRI Taikoo Hui in Shanghai has won the 2026 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Asia Pacific Award for Excellence on Tuesday, recognized by jurors for its exceptional market value and urban integration.
The commercial complex, a 50-50 joint venture between HKR International (0480) and Swire Properties(1972), saw its first-quarter retail sales jump over 80 percent year on year, while footfall more than doubled compared to 2025.
It is located in the Nanjing Road West commercial district and includes a shopping mall, two Grade-A office towers, two boutique hotels, serviced apartments and Cha House.
The ULI jury commended HKRI Taikoo Hui for its ability to "seamlessly integrate local culture and urban fabric while delivering exceptional market value and positive spillover effects to neighbouring developments".
