Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has received a generous donation of HK$10 million from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation to start a three-year program focused on developing the character and ethics of students.
The initiative aims to help young people grow personally and learn about Chinese culture by incorporating character-building activities into their education.
To honor the Foundation's donation, a naming ceremony was held on Monday for the "Tin Ka Ping Global Conference Room."
The new conference room, located on the Campus of Creativity, is equipped with modern technology to enhance learning. It features advanced tools for video conferencing and interactive teaching, creating an engaging environment for both teachers and students.
Since 1997, Tin Ka-ping and the Foundation have donated over HK$35 million to HKBU, supporting the university’s advancement in various areas and nurturing talented individuals.
