Swedish court moves to strip HK parents of 'Save Lily' custody

The Hong Kong Metropolitan University has revealed that president Paul Lam Kwan-sing will stay on for another four-year term until 2029.
The Council of Hong Kong Metropolitan University said it approved the re-appointment of Lam as president for a period of four years effective from April 1 2025.
Commenting on Lam’s re-appointment, Council Chairman Conrad Wong Tin-cheung commended Lam for his exceptional contribution to the university.
“During his tenure, Lam has successfully steered the University forward and accomplished the retitling of the University…In addition, the admission of HKMU to Shenzhen Virtual University Park facilitates the University to promote the collaboration between the Mainland and Hong Kong in the areas of research and education.” said Wong.
He also commended Lam for guiding the university in obtaining approval from the Education Bureau for becoming Hong Kong's first University of Applied Sciences, which he said is “a testament to the University's outstanding achievements in promoting quality education in Hong Kong as well as a recognition of the University's unique position in bringing positive impacts on both the academic community and society.”
Lam, meanwhile, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for his re-appointment.
“I sincerely thank the Council for its recognition and unwavering support. I am committed to making my utmost efforts, alongside members of the HKMU Community, to take the University to new heights.
“We will continue to provide our students with top-drawer education to nurture competent professionals to sustain the social and economic development of Hong Kong and our nation.” Lam added.
